Yoga for Absolute Beginners

This workshop is for anyone who has considered starting a yoga practice but didn’t because they thought they were not flexible enough, had no idea where to begin or were too intimidated or shy. We will go over the basic format of a yoga class, talk about the equipment, yoga class etiquette and explore some of the basic yoga poses and how to modify them for your own body. By the end of the workshop, you will have the confidence to join a beginning yoga class and explore how you too can enjoy a mindful yoga practice.

Therabands and Therapy Balls
with Robyn Bowman
This class series is for the student who enjoys adding creativity to their strengthening practice and self massage to their unwinding practices. We will be using resistance bands to build gentle strength and length and then following with therapy balls to soften and deepen into that tight tissue.
Join Robyn for an hour of diving into our bodies and having fun with these powerful props.

Restorative & Reiki

Enjoy the time to drop deeper into a longer restorative yoga practice accompanied by healing Reiki energy. Reiki is an ancient, natural, non-invasive hands-on healing modality that channels “Universal Life Force Energy”. This is the creative, positive and pure energy that is around and within all living things. Through specific hand positions that relate to the physical and energetic body, Reiki gently balances the energy channels (chakras) in the body, releasing physical and emotional tension and promoting a state of harmony and healing for all levels of Self.
Combing these two practices allows for a supported and deeply nourishing gift of connection and self care. Natalie Suhanic is a certified and experienced restorative yoga teacher and a level 2 Reiki practitioner.

Yoga for Pelvic Floor Health
with Natalie Suhanic
This 4 week series is an introductory series to help yoga students to improve and maintain pelvic health. Each week we will explore breath practices, gentle movement and yoga poses that combine strengthening, stabilizing, softening, stretching and relaxation. Through the work, students will develop a better understanding of the anatomy of the pelvis ( bony pelvis and pelvic floor) and “the core four” (diaphragm, multifidus, transfers abdominus and pelvic floor).
Our every day movements and bodily functions depend so much on our pelvic health. This series is accessible to most yoga students, both beginning and experienced.
