Remove your shoes at the door as we practice in our bare feet.
Turn off your cell phone or leave it in the car.
Pay your teacher on time without having to be reminded.
Bring your own mat; it’s more hygienic. We do have mats to borrow if you forget yours.
Refrain from wearing perfume, cologne or strong essential oils.
Avoid drinking alcohol or smoking before class.
Ask questions about anything that is not clear to you.
If you have any health issues, please notify your teacher before class. Not every pose is for everyone.
Let go of the competitive mind-set. The purpose of yoga is to calm the mind and to discover your body and breath. Where it takes you is up to you!
Enter the studio quietly respecting those that have already begun their practice.
If you need to leave early, please advise your teacher before class and leave before Shivasana (end relaxation).
Come to class on time. If you do arrive a few minutes late, take a breath and quietly wait outside the studio door. After shivasana, the teacher will invite you into the class.
It is okay to come out of a pose before the teacher says so. Your body will respond beautifully when you show it kindness, acceptance and love. This is your yoga practice.
Be responsible for listening to your body. Listen to its limits and its openings.
Respect yourself and others.
Allow your yoga practice to connect you to the present moment.
